Dancing With the Stars Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) has quickly become one of the most popular reality shows in the U.S. even recently overtaking American Idol. The premise of the show is simple - take a celebrity and pair them up with a professional ballroom dancer, set to music, and watch the fun. It has been fun with everyone from thespians to professional athletes, singers, and an astronaut getting in on the action. The general format is a Monday night show in which the couples dance followed by a day for the fans to vote. The fan vote and judges scores are combined to determine who is voted off Tuesday night. Along the way the professional dancers will often perform to some of the hottest singers of yesterday and today who drop by like Sade and Lady Gaga.
